I’m coming to you today from beautiful Jackson Hole, Wyoming.  I’m having tons of fun exploring here, and tomorrow we’re heading to Yellowstone for more beautiful scenery, wildlife, and FUN!

Yes, I’m in my happy place back on the travelling bandwagon!

It’s no secret that the last couple of years have been crazy.

I went from living it up in Auckland on leg two of my planned 6-month tour of Australia and New Zealand, to the stress of getting back to the states at the start of the pandemic, to bouncing back and forth from my Mom’s to my Dad’s dealing with family health issues (non-COVID related).

I also went from generating a consistent flow of leads from my Facebook Ads, and making $3 for every $1 I spent, to getting my Ad account banned, and having to totally revamp my online marketing strategy.

But the good news was, I’d already built my business to be totally “location-independent”, so I could easily pivot, and was able to concentrate on supporting other entrepreneurs who needed to pivot to an online strategy to save their businesses.

I was thinking about all of this today, looking out at the beautiful mountains and eating lunch with my friend Meg.

Thinking about how grateful I am for the lifestyle I’ve been able to build and the clients I’m able to serve.

Thinking about how grateful I am for the systems I’ve built into my marketing, so that I can go on vacation for two weeks and for the most part, my marketing systems will keep building my community, my connections, and scheduling calls on my calendar for when I return.

One of the marketing strategies that I’m talking about is LinkedIn.

LinkedIn is one of new strategies I implemented when my Facebook Ads account got shut down.  I’ve been on LinkedIn for a long time, but it’s never been a strategy I’ve concentrated on…at all.

But when I re-connected with an old Mastermind partner and learned what he’s been doing with LinkedIn, I decided to give it a hard look. And boy am I glad I did.

Today, I grow my LinkedIn connections by 50 – 75 people and add 5 – 7 Connection Calls to my calendar each week, just from LinkedIn.

Connection Calls that have turned into podcast guest spots, Interviews, speaking engagements, Summit spots, free gift exchanges, referral partnerships, and yes, new paying clients.

It’s now one of my top three marketing strategies (and I recommend you only have three!).
